Project

This project was to document an impressive private collection for an avid and passionate art collector. He cleverly decided to have all his paintings photographed before some of them were donated and auctioned. As well as having a sentimental record of the paintings he no longer owns, it helps to have high-quality images for catalogues when selling. Having images of his collection allows for easy reference, the ability to reproduce personal copies for cataloguing, publishing and printing where allowed by copyright. The other benefit can be security, as a high-resolution image may be used as evidence to verify ownership of stolen or missing artwork.
