Project

It makes good sense to photograph an art collection. Here, I photographed a series of classic modern art (Miró, Picasso, Chagall) from a private collection for the purpose of documentation, cataloguing and insurance. As the artwork could not be taken out of the frames, conventional photography would not have been able to capture the paintings without some reflections or at least degraded contrast. My approach involved the use of polarised lighting to entirely eliminate any hint of reflection from glass - it's as if the glass didn't exist at all.
