
Cherish Marrington

Cherish Marrington is a visual artist and costume & stage designer for the Theatre, graduating from the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) in 2013. Prior to her design studies, she was a fine art graduate from the Central Institute of Technology (CIT) in Perth and was actively involved in collaborative work with other emerging artists of kindred spirit. She gained public recognition for her ink drawings described as presenting a perverse alternate reality of bizarre and otherworldly characters; heavily costume orientated and theatrical. Cherish is also responsible for 'Chinoiserie Fine Art', established in 2019. Described as 'Boorloo’s (Perth's) rebellious dark kitchen for high-quality giclée printing’.

She has also been head of wardrobe, head of props/set design on 5 feature films, as well as numerous theatre productions, both local and national.
